In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic affected every aspect of life, especially the construction industry. When many businesses shut down or switched to remote work, construction was deemed essential and continued on, with many new challenges in place. At HITT, the on-site workers who kept the business going were well-deserving of recognition from the company.
I worked with a communications manager to develop this video which was intended to honor the essential workers who spent their time on jobsites implementing new procedures, working to finish projects despite the obstacles they faced. We created a story board, wrote the script, and went to multiple locations on active construction jobsites to film the footage shown in the video. The footage was compiled, edited and cut together using both the Animoto online video editing tool and Adobe Premiere Pro. I filmed and edited all footage shown, and my colleague wrote the script.
This video was presented at our all-company meeting at the end of 2020, and was also posted on social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook.
